Nativesun balances the expertise of a seasoned, respected multi-genre artist while maintaining a constant presence and influence both globally and within the local DC electronic scene. His eclectic and versatile knowledge of dance music and reputation of blending House, Techno, Jersey Club, UK Funky, Amapiano, and Jungle/Drum &Bass in the same set have led to performances at Nowadays, Afropunk, Tresor while collaborating with various labels and a multitude of musicians including Ninja Tunes, Kelela, DJ Lag, Ari Lennox, Yaya Bey and more.
In 2021, Nativesun along with Amal and James Bangura created the trio Black Rave Culture, which led to two critically-acclaimed album releases and appearances at Sustain Release, Elsewhere, Marble Bar, Slingshot Festival and Boiler Room in their sophomore year. As a DJ known to be in multiple places at once, Nativesun remains on a mission to bring communities together, move bodies and redefine dance music wherever he is.
